Dave Tollaksen is an Analyst at The Mellman Group, a polling and consulting firm whose clients include leading political figures, Fortune 500 companies, and the nation's most important public interest groups. In 2004, prior to joining the Mellman Group, Dave directed the persuasion and turnout programs in Rogers County, Oklahoma for the Oklahoma Democratic Party. Before joining that campaign, Dave interned for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and for Senator Russ Feingold of Wisconsin.
Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dave graduated magna cum laude from The University Of Notre Dame, with degrees in economics (with honors) and political science (with honors), with a focus on applied quantitative methodology. He was inducted into Omicron Epsilon Delta, the National Economics Honor Society, and Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honors Society. While at Notre Dame, Dave conducted research on numerous topics, from the atmospheric swings in presidential politics, focusing on the downfall of Herbert Hoover and the rise of FDR, to the effect of elites on international conflict.
