Faith Passy-Lewis, Senior Analyst


Faith Passy-Lewis is a Senior Analyst at The Mellman Group, a polling and consulting firm whose clients include leading political figures, Fortune 500 companies, and the nation's most important public interest groups. She has worked on a wide range of projects with political, non-profit, and corporate clients, conducting surveys, focus group research, Media-PULSE analysis, and internet research including web surveys and focus groups. Faith has done quantitative and qualitative research for a variety of political clients including Democratic Presidential candidate John Kerry, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Senators Dan Akaka, Maria Cantwell, Frank Lautenberg, and Carl Levin; Representatives John Barrow, Shelly Berkley, Ben Chandler, and Richard Gephardt; New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine and Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm; and party work for the DSCC, DNC, and North Carolina House Democrats.

In addition to political work, Faith has done extensive non-profit work for both the education and pro-choice community. Faith’s education clients include the Learning First Alliance, and National Association of Education. She has also worked with the pro-choice community, helping to both shape opinions of and attitudes towards the issue of choice, as well as working with the Joint Emergency Campaign on the battle over Supreme Court nominations. Additionally, Faith has worked with the Sierra Club, the Chesapeake Bay Trust, and The National Center for Children in Poverty.

Faith has extensive experience in the area of campaign conduct and campaign finance reform. Before joining the Mellman Group, she worked at the Center for Congressional and Presidential Studies, where she was involved in several projects working to improve campaign conduct. Additionally, she worked on several books published by the Center, including The Battle for Congress, and Campaign Warriors: Political Consultants in Elections. Faith also worked as Assistant Director of the Campaign Management Institute.

Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Faith Passy-Lewis graduated, with honors and distinction, from Boston University, with Bachelors Degrees in Political Science and American History. She received a Masters Degree in Applied Politics, also with honors, from American University, and attended law school at Seton Hall University. Faith was selected to work in the San Francisco School District as an AmeriCorps VISTA, and worked for the Labour Party in England, on their “Listening to Women” campaign, leading up to the 1997 elections. She has also served as a student ambassador for the United States, traveling to several eastern European countries, including the former Soviet Union. Faith lives in Silver Spring, MD with her husband and dog.
